Petition asks Obama to create a No Kill List

There is a government site to create petitions at this site. To have a petition listed in the search engine 150 signatures are needed within 30 days. For the government to respond to the petition there must be 25,000 signatures within 30 days.

To sign petitions one must create an account (free) at the site but the process does not look complicated. Since I am not a U.S. citizen I did not go through the process.

The text of the petition of the Do Not Kill list reads as follows:

""Create a Do Not Kill List

The New York Times reports that President Obama has created an official “kill list” that he uses to personally order the assassination of American citizens. Considering that the government already has a “Do Not Call” list and a “No Fly” list, we hereby request that the White House create a “Do Not Kill” list in which American citizens can sign up to avoid being put on the president’s “kill list” and therefore avoid being executed without indictment, judge, jury, trial or due process of law.

Created: May 30, 2012

Issues: Civil Rights and Liberties, Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement, Defense ""

The petition needs 20,494 signatures by June 29 to merit a response. As of this posting there were 4,506 signatures already. The response would no doubt be interesting! I doubt that it would be positive. Here is your chance for some participatory democracy. No doubt Ron Paul will sign.
